MISSION

AAUW’s mission is “Advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.”

The national priorities of AAUW are:

  • To support a strong system of public education that promotes gender fairness, equity, diversity and inclusivity, and to address the barriers and implicit biases that hinder the advancement of women and girls.
  • To achieve economic security for all women.
  •  To guarantee equality, individual rights, and social justice for a diverse and inclusive society

A full description of these priorities can be found here.

AAUW Doylestown, PA Branch shares those priorities, and focuses on voter education, teen mental health crisis, Title IX, reproductive rights, and pay equity.

Although women and girls have made amazing strides forward due to Title IX legislation there is much left to do to ensure equal access in all areas of education. Our programs work to further the spirit of Title IX in Doylestown, Bucks County, and Pennsylvania.
