Scholarships

BACKGROUND

Since 1959, the Doylestown branch of AAUW has awarded scholarships to young women who are pursuing a four-year college or university degree. Since 2018, this branch has awarded scholarships to students living in Bucks County who have completed studies at Bucks County Community College and are transferring to a four-year institution to complete their undergraduate degree.

Generally, two scholarships are awarded each year.  One is awarded to a student graduating from the community college and entering a four-year college/university as a junior.  If that student completes her junior year with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, then the branch awards her with and a second scholarship to complete her studies.  This means we award a scholarship to two students each year.  Students interested in applying should contact the Financial Aid office at Bucks County Community College early in the 2nd semester to learn more.
